Hounding The Hare

You thought you knew me, I heard So-and-So say You said you did,
You thought you knew me, I heard So-and-So say You said you did,
Yet, all you have heard is what you'd be better off keeping hid.
You thought you saw me, I saw you looking like you said you did,
You thought you saw me, I saw you looking like you said you did,
Yet, all you have seen is a ghost of someone you want kept
hid.
Well, you bought your image, you bought those looks!
Now you'll spare nothing, you've become so tough!
Since you bought your opinion from those crooks,
You'll swear your life has become so rough!
You thought you'd "do" me, thinking I was just another you'd kid,
You thought you'd "do" me, thinking I was just another you'd kid,
Yet, all you've done is reveal whatever you're keeping hid!
With your magazine mind, and your blind eyes,
You don't even notice your broken cup
With your generic kind, and your blind lies,
What chance is there you will open up?
You thought you knew me, I heard So-and-So say You said you did,
You thought you knew me, I heard So-and-So say You said you did,
Yet, all you have heard is what you've been tryin' to keep
hid.
