Missoula, MT to Eugene, OR

The trip westward from Missoula, MT to Eugene, OR took me through the 45th state of the "lower 48" United States - Idaho...with a stop in Couer d'Alene...of course so many bus stops along the way are similar...and it was late at night, so I got to see nothing but shadows...and in Spokane, Washington, I had no time to venture beyond the old railway station that still houses the Amtrak depot, and the bus depot...likewise, there was no time for any sight-seeing in Seattle, except from the window of the Greyhound, early in the am, noticing little but the built-up skyline, with its "post-modern" show-offy-ness...millions of watts of power to keep them doohickeys lit at night, and nobody can build a decent safe residence hotel anymore...REALLY, what is this country coming to?

I got but a glimpse of Portland, OR, which is trying to be live-able...and export that livability ethic, I sure hope they succeed...because, my dear reader, as the least of these our brethern and sisters go...there GO WE...

More Soon!

I will also document my 1st week in Eugene...
