Denver TO Kalispell, Montana

Getting my 'will call' ticket for Kalispell, Montana was smooth - it went without a hitch. The carrier was Powder River lines and the buses are equipped with video screens...the driver had chosen HERBIE...the one wear the VW bug wins a stock car race...silly but entertaining...the other was Black Hawk Down...harrowing, but instructive of what sniper heavy modern urban guerrilla is like. I saw glimpses of Ft. Collins, Caspar, Wyoming, and Billings & Missoula, Montana...the last of two drivers put Major Payne on the box...I'm not much of a film fanatic, but I found all of them either entertaining or informative...there were two unscheduled transfers on my trip...one mentioned on the Topeka, Kansas stop, and one in Gillette, Wyoming...but, hey! The bus we got from Powder River lines, was so new the seat upholstery still had that "out of the box" smell...the segment from Billings, Montana to Missoula was with Greyhound, but from Missoula to Kalispell was Rimrock Trailways...highway construction delayed us about an hour, but my host here in Kalispell knew about the construction and chose to inquire, and so was there at the Kalispell depot "on the nose" with a cheerful HOWDY hug!
