Thank you.

Heidi Howe is an up and coming young songster who's winning kudos in the Louisville, KY, vicinity...she opened a show for the Not Too Bad Bluegrass Band at the Cellar here in Bloomington, Indiana...Friday, September 28, 8:30pm...Quite a perky, zestful attitude, Heidi!
Mark Dillon came over from Terre Haute to accompany Heidi on guitar in a very apt and knowing way. I thank Heidi here for bringing this guy into my life. Turns out drummer Bob Mason, whom I met at a small music festival south of Bloomington, IN last summer, has recorded with Mark. Can't wait to get my computer set up again in Oregon, so as to download this fine players own songs! Mark and I had a great chat after Heidi's set, talking about what "folkie" song writer Tom Paxton once called "Chaos, Watermelons, and Everything...

Dan Bern would make a good candidate for most humorously revealing apocalyptic song writer...guess it's finally time to create a Grammy category...(LOL...) I've had the pleasure of hearing Dan's high voltage solo show here in Bloomington's Second Story venue. I was impressed enough that I shall relate my encounters with Dan Bern and his song Estelle in my Journals pages soon...

Speaking of the Second Story, I gotta hand it to anyone who can write a song called I'm Nature's Mosquito Jonathan Richman has his own way with words! He's graced the Second Story more than once. He doesn't have his own home page. These links are to fans' page... The Abominable Lesbian Vampire Cappuccino Bar in Cyberspace Lyrics for Modern Lovers...

Burning Spear! I was aware of this band long before I had a chance to see them presented to me on September 26, in Bloomington. Jah be talking with my soul... Do yourself a favor, and catch this band while you can.

You'll find lots of names you recognize here!

I'll be adding more here.

I read about Leslie Nuchow in an Alternet article by Jeff Chang. He's also written:

The Itinerant Locals! I met them at the Soma CoffeeHouse in Bloomington, IN.
